The basic components of bodygrip traps
Bodygrip traps are made to quickly and humanely catch animals. These traps have one or two moving jaws that snap shut on the animal's neck or chest. The goal is to make the animal unconscious very fast, which helps reduce suffering.
Jaws: Jaws are devices that restrain animals by clamping onto their feet.
Springs (and levers): They are the mechanisms that provide tension to activate and close the jaws.
Trigger: The trigger is the mechanism that activates the device when disturbed.
Dog: The dog is the mechanism that holds the jaws open until triggered.
Anchoring system: It secures the trap to a fixed point, preventing escape.
